We planted our first tree here in our new place. It is an October Glory Red Maple. It is supposed to be really pretty in the fall and grow rather fast. I hope so anyway. It took forever to dig the hole. We had to use a pick axe.
Planted at last. Can't wait til spring to see how it looks. The nursery guarantees it forever so if it won't grow we will just get another one.
Playing in the dirt.
We also planted 4 blueberry bushes out behind the garage. They also needed the pick axe to dig the holes for. At least we have had good rain so I haven't had to pull out the hose.
Our first Christmas in Marietta. We didn't decorate one lick last year since we were in the throws of finishing the house and making the move. We went all out this year and it was so nice to put a real tree up. Fit just perfect in our corner. First year we didn't get a Douglas Fir also. Had to go with a Frazer since they didn't have the other. I like it even if it took a little convincing for Bill.
I love my carolers. And yes Sarah, you can have them when I die. (you may have to fight for them)
Our decorated side table
My skating family on the dining room table. I love these. They look so fun here.
The fireplace all decked out.
I put the manger on the civil war table. Fit just perfect.
We went to a car show in November to Chattanooga where we stayed the night and had a really nice weekend. This is was taken about an hour before I nearly passed out. Go figure. Don't I look good here? Never thought a fainting spell was coming.
Bill's car at the show.
This is down my the river in Chattanooga. They were having major rowing event there that weekend. It was a beautiful day.
We love going up to Look Out mountain and watch the hang gliders. I wish I had the nerve to do this. It looks so amazing.
Papa and little Grayson
Bath time for Grayson
In November we went to Anna and Strattons for Grayson's blessing. We took this picture in their backyard after church.
Strattons parents were there too. Bob and Catherine were a lot of fun and we enjoyed seeing them again.
Our little NC family
At Thanksgiving the Allen's and Wade's came to us. No turkey, just a lot of turkeys!
Below, Grayson, Will and Tyler
Anna and Grayson. Grayson is over 17 pounds as of Dec 2012 and only 3 months old. Yesh!
So that's it. Just thought you all might enjoy a few pictures. Til next time.

Well, we'll. mom wanted to know if anyone else had added anything so decided to check. Yahoo!! What a fun addition. So much work to dig a hole? Might make you think twice about any other additions. If the tree had been any bigger you would have needed some c4 . Thanks for the pictures, your decorations look great. Talk soon. Love always.
ReplyDeleteWOW!! What a nice update!! Everyone looks so good and the kids are growing up so fast it blows my mind. The Allen family sure looks great. Anna must be feeding them all well too.
