The most beautiful day. We were lucky enough to be tour guides at the newly renovated Atlanta Temple. After terrible storms ravaged the south on Friday I was a bit worried that Saturday would be a messy day. Well, the storms pasted through and left us with a gorgeous day. It was only in the upper 60's, very very windy but beautiful skies and big puffy clouds. You couldn't have ordered a better one.
This photo is a little dark but after 10 hours of standing and walking mile after mile and giving tours we were quite exhausted, so we felt bodily "dark" too. Not spiritually though; we had the best day. Since it was already after 4pm and we were all dressed up and too tired to do anything else, we decided to go out BIG for dinner. We went to our favorite place, Rays on the River and had a meal death row inmates would have jealous of. We even shared their famous praline basket dessert which we struggled to finish but tortured ourselves anyway. We went home, killed a little time with our feet up then went to bed at 9:30pm. Boy were we pooped. It was all good though and I'd do it again in a heart beat. The Temple was just stunning inside and it was fun to see folks drop their jaws at it's beauty and spirit. Can't wait to start working there for good on Thursday evenings.

Glad your day was so uplifting. Was it better than you expected? It did look like a beautiful day. I take it all your kids were safe from the storms? Love always.
