This was a very large hawk that sat in our tree in the back yard. We watched him for a long time. A few days latter he swooped down and caught a chipmunk which he preceeded to eat in the back yard. It took him about half an hour then he flew up into a distant tree.
Nature is so cool. Watching the poor chipmunk might not be the best part, but watching those magnificent birds is wonderful. Love always.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that is a hawk? It looks like an owl to me. Do you have other shots of the bird? The Racoon shot is really great. I had seen it on the camera but didn't think it was so clear. My eyes REALLY are bad.

Yes mom, I have other photos of the hawk it's just that they are all of the back of the bird. He wouldn't turn around.
